You will normally be offered an appointment within 48 hours, however, if you ask to see a particular doctor you may have to wait longer.
Please telephone the surgery as soon as possible after 08:30 so that an urgent appointment can be made for that day.
Every day, a duty doctor is available for emergency calls between 08:00 - 18:00. Please call the surgery for contact details.
To speak to a doctor please telephone the surgery between 11:30 - 12:00. If the person you wish to speak to is unavailable you will be advised of a suitable time to call back.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly. The nurses are based at Pitmedden but a limited number of sessions are also available at Tarves and Methlick.
A Nurse Pracitioner is an experienced specialist nurse who is able to examine, diagnose and prescribe for some of the most common conditions in General Practice. It may be more appropriate to see the Nurse Practitioner than a GP. The receptionists are able to confirm conditions that are suitable to be seen by the Nurse Practitoner.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you are registered for Patient Acces, you can cancel your appointments on-line.
